In this CD, with the exception of "Over the Rainbow," all of the music is improvised, from the first to the last note. All of these various sounds arise from different factors, like: searching for a sound which instantly comes to mind, or one that evolves from the casual result of performing ... looking at your hands while playing, for example, as you wait for a new expression, or a repetition. or a change in texture or dynamics, caused by the need of making ideas flow into the making of a particular sound which comes from that piano in that music hall.
The aim is to capture the unrepeatable moment, and to let the audience, along with the performer, discover the music ... note after note after note, as a proof of the performer/composer's willingness and ability to take the risk of producing that unique kind of exhilaration that arises from instantaneous, improvisational composition.
Here, there is simply a man with his piano, who is playing and improvising.
Always.
